Yuri Kuklachev
Moscow Cats Theater was created by Russian circus performer Yuri Kuklachev almost 30 years ago. An abandoned kitten in a park was all the inspiration he needed. His goal to prove that cats can do the common walk tightropes or jump on cue as well as perform death defying balancing acts. The show is a silent clown act, having Kuklachev on center stage. He performs acts like continually stepping on a broom that always comes from behind hitting him in the back, miming to be a great artist and painting portraits of volunteers from audience or miming umbrella mishaps on a very windy day.

Moscow Cats Theater
Moscow cats theater or also know as Moscow cat circus is a enjoyable experience for every one. Don't think western circus or trained animal show. Think mime. Think traditional clowning, audience interaction and gentle humor, mixed with amazing and humorous acts of cat behavior. Yuri Kuklachev's troupe of human and furry performers delight children of all ages.

Most importantly, it's been said that the animal performers are never coerced in the Moscow cat circus. They have obviously been trained, but with love and understanding, not force. They perform with gusto, not reluctantly. Some of the cats obviously enjoy their acts and the applause they receive.
