Gorky Park
Situated south of central Moscow and popularized by Martin Cruz Smith's cold war novel of the same name,
Gorky Park stretches three kilometres along the Moskva River. Gorky Park is Moscow's amusement park and
draws in large numbers of visitors both foreign and local. Things to do in

ferris wheel which provides excellent views out over the park and its surrounding area. During the winter
months the lakes and paths are flooded to form a vast outdoor ice-skating rink. With its combination of

concerts in its auditoria, Gorky Park is one district in Moscow not to be missed by any visitor. There is a
small charge to enter the park on Fridays and weekends.
Moscow Zoo
The Moscow Zoo, located at the very heart of the city is the oldest and largest zoo in Russia. It is a favorite
place for a rest and walks for many Muscovites and guests of the city. The zoo is one of the main things to do in
Moscow for kids, little kids especially like the zoo, as they have a lot of fun there. Today the zoo collection
numbers about 7.000 specimens of 1.001 kinds of animals. The zoo participates in a number of international programs
dedicated to animals keeping and breeding. It regularly holds the animals exchange program with many zoos of the world.
